Bags, zips, totes and more

Let’s start with zipped pouches

Just a few more pouches
Grocery bags above, cotton canvas with Cricut designs using HTV

And just when you thought you’ve seen all the pouches, along comes this little sweetheart. It is small, about 4.5″ tall and 3″ wide. It is flat bottomed, so sits nicely and is just right for some cards and some change. It’s called the Mini pouch. The directions are nicely detailed here

The iPhone Bag

I do think this is a sweet and functional little bag. I’ve made several so far and I am re-working the design a bit each time. The original was intended for geocaching only, smaller and with a top flap. It has morphed into this for every day use. The horizontal zipper on the from conceals the area for the phone. The top zipper opens to allow you to add your keys, lipstick, etc etc.

specs 11′ x 8″ Shoulder strap swivels and can be made adjustable. I have to say, I love it.

The cute linen sheep. sighhh All I have left from a piece I bought in Helsinki. so a good use. I can look at them every day now.

My dear friend Jenn loves Schitt’s Creek so much, so this little bag is for her. Foam interfaced and quilted, lined and zipped with some adorable little handles added. I loved making this one. Wait a sec. I love making everything,

Cases for Devices

I love, love, love this case. It can be made in any size to fit any device. This one is for my MacBook Air, but I’ve since made one for my iPad, too. (I’m fond of wiener dogs, too and I’ll make a pouch for my cables and chargers when I can find more of the same fabric.) It’s lined with a fusible foam product Called By Annie Soft & Stable, then quilted. The zip is really just a half zip… that is, a length of zipper by the yard separated . so one side of the zip is sewn to the fabric, then the fabric is folded over on itself, the zip ends meet and the pull is added. It sounds quite complicated and it took me a while to wrap my head around it, even with online instructions, which are available in YouTube. Just google “Hemingway Case Tutorial”

Travel Bags

I’ve made so many bags I’ve lost track, but here is a selection, starting with travel (carry-on) size. I can’t wait to be ale to use mine again. are almost all made of cotton, then quilted and often personalized with appliqué or embroidery

Everyday Totes, grocery bags and a couple for shoes and laundry

Zipped pouches

Lap top bags, tater bakers and car Kleenex holders etc
