Gifts and Homey Things

Here it is. It’s holding my iPhone so I can be hands free eating my lunch, or whatever. It is Cotton, stuffed with polyfil and polypellets. So it is weighted and won’t blow over in the wind, and washable if it gets dirty. Water won’t hurt it. It has a little tab on the top, handy for picking it up but also for holding the charging cable. I have several all over the house. I can no longer survive in the world without one.

It will also hold my iPad horizontally. I’ve made dozens, cause I think everyone should have at least one. I can see these for $15 each. This includes the little “‘I’m a holder for your phone” card.

Mug rugs

Just a few here and more below. I used to make this by the dozens when I first learned about quilting. These make great gifts

Bookmarks

The King was crowned and my favourite customer needed a little something to give, so the King bookmarks were created. They are about 3″ x 3″ quilted and embellished with the royal crown and monogram (which I borrowed directly from the royal website) Linen and cotton for extra special quality. I generally use all cotton. If I can find some pics I’ll add them below.

Bits and Pieces …. things that are fun to give

Aprons

I’m loving this apron pattern from Purl Soho because it’s fully adjustable and a breeze to sew together. I like cotton canvas for these and with it, I have a nice blank slate for HTV (heat transfer vinyl) Ive used a combination of matt and foil for these and I do like the effect. Im looking forward to more work with sublimation too, but am restricted to polyester fabrics…. not my favourite, but we’ll see.

Tea Cozies

Quilted and embellished. I love the appliquéd look.

Bowls and bowl cozies baskets, placemats, mug rugs etc

Sewing Room Must Haves

Pillows, just a few and more over on Pillow Talk

Kleenex box covers for the twins bedrooms…. they asked for these…kids love them.
